All time Bollywood Hits in USA/India
this page is compilation of good bollywood movies. Though this page tries to concentrate on good low budget movies, all deserving high budget movies are also listed here. So, many of the movies that I list below may not be successful at box-office, but even then I think they are worth your time (which is money). I've also included ABCD movies (movies made in USA for Indians). Help me in expanding this list by suggesting movies which you think, should be included below. I think at most 5-10 good movies get released every year, so you won't see more than 300 movies in list below. NOTE: I've listed movies by year, with best movies at the top of the list.
Resources for Bollywood Movies
Wikipedia is a very good resource for finding all Bollywood movies. It lists all movies since year 1940. So, hard to miss a movie here. It's constantly being updated though, and all the information is mostly accurate.
IMDB is also a good resource for Bollywood movies. People think, it lists only Hollywood movies, you will be surprised by the collection it has of bollywood movies. You will have to search it by contry name India or movie language Hindi. One such search is IMDB Bollywood movies sorted by their US Box office collections. You might incorrectly find some non-bollywood movies also in this link.
Box Office India has all box office records for bollyood movies. It has all interesting statistics about box office collections since 1940. You will instantly realize how profitable movie business has become in the last 20 years. Nowadays, even below average movies (I mean bakwaas movies) with big stars snap about 50 crore Rupees in India, and about $1M overseas with ease, while in 1990's only 1 or 2 movies used to snap 10 crore rupees worldwide in any given year.
planet bollywood is another good website for Bollywood movies.
