Black Friday 2022
This is an exclusive list of all BF 2022 deals. Even though I say "Black Friday deals", it refers to all the deals that go live during the holiday season, which is mostly from start of November to December end. Every year deals start earlier than last year, meaning this year deals have started surfacing in October itself. This year BF deals are shaping up to be pretty good, considering the glut of inventory that all these retailers have piled up. Good to see deals on BF after pretty lame BF in the last 2 years.

Anyway I'll list BF deals below. You still have extended return window for the holidays (most retailers like Walmart, Target, BestBuy allow you to return items until Jan 2021), so it's relatively low risk. You can always return the item if you find it at a lower price later in Dec or Jan.

- Toys: Should see standard toys deals this year too.
- Bikes: Mountain Bikes for < $100 were already on sale at walmart in September abd October. Hopefully even better price this BF.
- TV: TV prices have come down crashing, even before BF. We should expect to see 65 inch TV for < $250 and 75 inch TV for < $500. In 2020, 70 inch TV sold for $300, and 75 inch for $500. So, we will finally get to 2020 prices.

- Walmart: 65 inch TCL TV for $229. Very good price. This is same price as 65 inch TV sold by target on BF 2020. This will sell out fast.
- Target: 65 inch Element TV for $229. Same price as Walmart. Hard to say which is a better buy - TCL or Element?

- 11/02/2022: Walmart: 75 inch HiSense TV for $450. Decent price, since 75 inch should be closer to $350 based on 65 inch TV price of $250.

- Laptop: Very good deals for laptops staring from October itself. Laptops that sold for $1000 last year, going for $500 this year.Decent price for a laptop with 8GB MAmeory, 256 GB Ram, and i5 or Ryzen 5 Rrocessor with a full HD screen should be around $250. Add $$ as you go higher in spec. Adding AMD or Nvidia discrete GPU adds $100 or more to the price. For < $500 you should be able to find very high spec non gaming laptop, or above average gaming laptop. Most of these laptops have 3200 SODIMM DDR4 memory, so buy a few if you want to have larger memory.

- Gateway laptops: cheap, but reviews are terrible. Basically build quality is garbage. You may buy it to trade in for some other deals or liberate SSD and RAM (RAM is soldered though, and can't be upgraded). I would avoid these, as you can get much better brands for $100 more.

- 11/07/2022: Office Depot: 15 inch HP laptop for $255 (Ryzen 3 processor, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD). Comparable deal to Ebay $194 laptop deal, worth the extra $60 for extra ram, extra ssd and better processor. Processor is old though.

- Refurbished Acer i7 laptop (17.3 inch) for $408: Good price for 17 inch laptop, with i7, 8GB memory + 512GB SSD. One memory stick of 4GB is soldered, so can only change another 4GB stick with 8GB or 16GB. From reviews on amazon, looks like the soldered one is 3200 SODIMM DDR4 memory. It's very standard memory sold everywhere. Just search for "3200MHz DDR4 SO-DIMM Laptop Memory" from any memory manufacturer.

- Amazon & Newegg: They have TeamForce 2X16GB (= 32 GB Total) DDR4 3200 MHz DeskTop Memory for $70. Desktop memories usually go for cheaper than laptop memory. Silicon Power memory also sell for this price regularly, so not that great of a deal.

- This is available only in store, so worth it only if you live close by. Also, in store price is $20 (limit one per person). I would advise to not use the coupon to bring the price down to $5, since you have to provide your phone number to use $15 coupon. You should provide your phone number when you have higher priced coupon for some other item. As soon as you provide your phone number, you aren't eligible for any more coupons (as you no longer are a new customer for promo coupons). This drive can only be used to replace existing hard drive, as it uses same connectors as HDD and has same size as that.
- Amazon: 4 TB Samsung EVO SSD with sata connector for $300. This looks expensive as per our metric of $50/TB, but 4TB version has 4GB DRAM, and both 2TB and 4TB are premium versions of Samsung lineup.
11/08/2022: Walmart - Large QHD monitors for about $200
- LG 32 inch (has QHD: 2560 X 1440) for $200 => Has little lower resolution, but good price.
- Samsung 34 inch (has WQHD = 3440 X 1440) for $229 => Little expensive but brand name with close to 4K resolution. This Samsung is a better deal than LG one above.
